Recipe Created By: Elizabeth
2 cups flour
1 cup white sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup cocoa powder
2 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 cups applesauce
1/4 cup oil
2 tsp vanilla
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Mix dry ingredients together. Mix wet ingredients together. Add wet to the dry mixture and mix until combined. Pour into a greased baking pan. Bake 30-35 minutes or until it tests done.
This makes a very good moist chocolate cake. I have made cupcakes with it, doughnuts and cake. I do not think it would work well in a shaped pan. I left it in a sheet pan for one serving and the other time I made it I used a springform pan and left it on the circular bottom.

how long do you cook his for? and do you grease the pan?
what frosting did you use for this cake
Thanks
I would bake for 30-35 minutes or until it tests done.
I would grease the pan, but based on the author's comments, it doesn't sound like she was concerned about being able to remove the cake from the pan.
You can use whatever frosting you like or just dust with powdered sugar.
