1/2 16 oz pkg frozen cherries
1 can pineapple tidbits

1 box Kosher for Passover yellow cake mix
1 stick margarine, melted
1/4 cup sliced almonds (optional)

Preheat oven to 350 °F.

In a greased 8x8" glass pan, mix cherries, pineapple and starch. Microwave for two minutes, and then sprinkle cake mix over fruit. Pour melted margarine over that, and then top with almonds if using.

Bake for 40 minutes or until done.

This was kind of mushy for "cake," but it's nice and sweet and gooey.

This recipe is suitable for Passover. Check that the ingredients are okay according to your level of observance.

The Kosher for Passover cake mix is about half the size of a regular cake mix.

To avoid tree nuts, omit almonds.
