Ingredients

1 candy cane
1 smidgen mint extract
1 cup chocolate chips

Directions

Melt chocolate chips in microwave, probably about 2-2 1/2 minutes on high. Stir occasionally.

While chips are melting, crush candy cane into very small pieces. Add crushed candy cane and mint extract into melted chocolate and stir.

Put some wax paper or parchment paper on cookie sheet or plate. Smooth chocolate onto paper so that it's about 1/4-inch thick. Place in freezer for 2-3 minutes to help it harden. Break into small pieces and enjoy.

Notes

You can use as much chocolate chips as you want, really.

The mint and chocolate are an amazing taste combo. And there's a bit of a crunchy texture that is nice! You could probably add some sugar to the chocolate chips if you find they're not sweet enough, but Xavier didn't want to.
