1 cup flour
2 Tbsp brown sugar
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
3 1/2 oz jar of carrot baby food
2 Tbsp canola oil

Pre-heat oven to 400 °F. Combine all ingredients and mix/knead for 5 minutes.

Roll out dough on a cookie sheet with a rolling pin 1/4 inch thick. Cut into squares or thin rectangles. Bake in 400 ° oven for 15 minutes.

If using gluten-free flour use an appropriate amount of xanthan gum.

Other safe baby food purees can be substituted for the carrot baby food.

Corn Substitutions: Corn is a common ingredient in products. Starch, modified food starch, dextrin and maltodextrin can be from corn. Consult with your physician to find out which corn derivatives you need to avoid. Many corn-free options are available in the US. Find out more about corn substitutions.

Gluten: Gluten is a protein found in specific grains (wheat, spelt, kamut, barley, rye). Other grains are naturally gluten-free but may have cross-contact with gluten-containing grains. Look for certified gluten-free products if you need to avoid gluten. Find out more about wheat and gluten substitutions.

How do I figure out the appropriate amount of xanthan gum?
I'm new to this.

MommyAnderson - the general rule for adding xanthan gum to gluten free flour is 1/4 - 1/2 tsp per cup of flour. Some things like breads might benefit from more.
