Recipe Created By: Annika Hugon
1 12 oz bag chocolate chips (dairy and nut-free)
1 1/2 cups dried cherries (about 1 1/2 5 oz bags)
Put chocolate in glass bowl. Microwave until melted, checking and stirring after each minute. This will take about four minutes.
Put cherries into melted chocolate, and stir until all mixed together.
Put waxed paper on a cookie sheet. Drop chocolate mixture by spoonfuls onto waxed paper. This will make between 15 and 24 candies, depending on how big you make them.
Chill for 3 to 3 1/2 hours in the refrigerator.
This recipe is suitable for Passover. Check that the ingredients are okay according to your level of observance.

Challenger's Statement:
I was so excited to see candy as the theme for this contest! I took a batch of these to a recent party, where no one knew they were allergy-friendly, and they were a huge hit. I got a number of requests for *where did you buy those?* People seemed to really enjoy the fact that the cherries inside were dry, not wet, but were still sweet.
