2 cans chicken broth

Bring 1 can of chicken broth to a boil. Boil pastina in chicken broth 5 minutes or until done. Broth should fully absorb into pastina.

Boil broccoli until very soft and chop into tiny pieces.

Add broccoli and one extra can of chicken broth to cooked pastina. Mix in a large bowl together.

Add Parmesan cheese for extra taste (optional).

Will make enough for quite a few dinners and lunches.

Small pasta shapes for soup are referred to as pastini or "little pastas." Shapes can resemble objects such as stars (stelline) or rice (orzo).

If avoiding egg, be sure to pick an egg-free pasta shape.
