Sesame-Free Hummus

Ingredients

to taste salt and pepper
1-2 Tbsp water
1/4 tsp cumin
1 can chickpeas, drained & rinsed
1 Tbsp finely grated onion
1/2 lemon, squeezed

Directions

Blend together in food processor.

Notes


Substitutions

Be sure to check the ingredients of your canned chickpeas.

Recipe sounds interesting. However I'm wondering about the shelf life of this recipe.

Sushma - hummus will keep in the fridge for at least a few days to a week.

Could you freeze this and take out as and when needed and if so how long would it keep frozen for ?

Katie - I have never frozen hummus, but looking around on the web, it looks like you can. I would recommend doing a search to see what the recommendations are for how to package, shelf life and defrosting instructions.
