1 cup safe chocolate chips
6 cups Cheerio-type cereal
1 10 oz bag safe marshmallows
3 Tbsp safe margarine

Grease well a 9" x 11" pan with safe margarine or cooking spray.

In bowl, mix Cheerios and chocolate chips together.

In large pot, melt margarine and marshmallows.

Immediately, mix Cheerios/chocolate chip mixture into marshmallow mixture.

Pat into greased pan. It is easiest to do this with greased wax paper.

These are similar to s'mores.

Remember to use safe cooking spray on the pan and to use wax paper to press them down...they are really sticky!

To make these wheat-free, use safe O-style cereal.

To make these egg-free, use egg-free marshmallows.

To make these fish/shellfish free, use marshmallows that are not based on fish gelatin.

Butter and Margarine: Butter is a dairy product made from cow’s milk. Margarine typically contains milk or soy, but there are milk-free and soy-free versions available.

Gluten: Gluten is a protein found in specific grains (wheat, spelt, kamut, barley, rye). Other grains are naturally gluten-free but may have cross-contact with gluten-containing grains. Look for certified gluten-free products if you need to avoid gluten. Find out more about wheat and gluten substitutions.
