Ingredients

1 1/4 cup warm water
1 Tbsp sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1 Tbsp oil
3 cups flour (see below for suggestions)
1 1/2 to 2 tsp yeast
cornmeal (optional)

Directions

Put warm water, sugar, salt, and oil in your bread machine. Add on top the flour and yeast. Use dough cycle (mine is 1 hour 40 minutes).

For pizza, spread dough out on lightly floured surface and flatten till your specific size needs. Spread cookie sheet with corn meal if wanted and place dough on top. Spread with 100% tomato paste €”thin layer. Sprinkle Italian seasoning mix on top and a little garlic salt. Top as you like - we used thinly sliced ham, olives, and mushrooms. You could try red and green peppers, chicken, sausage, etc. Bake for 10-15 minutes at 425.

Notes

This can also be used for bread.

Substitutions

Sugar can be increased to 2 Tbsp.

Can increase oil to 2 Tbsp and reduce water by 2 Tbsp.

For flour combo, can use 2 1/2 cups white flour, 1/4 cup cracked wheat, and 1/4 cup wheat germ or oat bran.

Corn Substitutions: Corn is a common ingredient in products. Starch, modified food starch, dextrin and maltodextrin can be from corn. Consult with your physician to find out which corn derivatives you need to avoid. Many corn-free options are available in the US. Find out more about corn substitutions.

Gluten: Gluten is a protein found in specific grains (wheat, spelt, kamut, barley, rye). Other grains are naturally gluten-free but may have cross-contact with gluten-containing grains. Look for certified gluten-free products if you need to avoid gluten. Find out more about wheat and gluten substitutions.
