Kid Friendly Sangria

1  qt  lemon or limeade
1    lemon or lime
1    green apple
1    orange or tangerine
1    plum or pluot (optional)
1    peach (optional)
1    nectarine (optional)
1 or 2  12 oz bottles/cans  ginger ale

Pit/core all fruit and slice thinly. Place into a large container or pitcher and pour lemon/limeade over. Allow to macerate for 2-4 hrs in the refrigerator. Add gingerale and serve.

Serve this in a nice pitcher or a punch bowl. The fruit can be served in the cup along w/ the sangria.

We make this for special occasions and it's always a big hit w/ the kids. My kids love to just take a bowl of the macerated fruit slices to eat too.

Use whatever fruit is fresh and in season. In the winter I usually use some citrus (lemon/orange) plus apple and pear. For the summer, I use stone fruits like peach, plum and nectarine along w/ the citrus and apple.

We use either Simply Lemonade/Limeade or Odwalla Summertime Limeade. Any brand or variety will work.

We use either 365 Gingerale or Reed's which are both free of corn syrup.
