|1/2 cup margarine
2 Tbsp sugar
1 Tbsp baking powder
1 cup barley flour
1/3 cup cornstarch or potato starch
1/3 cup tapioca starch
1/3 cup rice flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp xanthan gum
3/4 cup milk or milk alternative
up to 1/2 cup additional gluten-free flour
|In a large bowl, mix the dry ingredients. Cut in the margarine. Then stir in the milk alternative. Knead by hand, adding additional flour until you reach a workable texture.
Shape into 10-12 biscuits and bake at 450 degrees F for 10-12 minutes.
|Use dairy, soy, corn and wheat free ingredients as necessary. Because of the barley flour, these are not gluten free.
