With Food Allergies, Inc. takes the privacy of our members very
seriously. This policy will define what information we collect,
how it is used, and how we protect it. If you have any questions

We collect personally-identifiable information you voluntarily provide us through the registration process, by filling out a form, or by email contact with us.

Kids with Food Allergies requires users who want to participate in our support forums register. As part of the registration process, you will be required to provide us with a username (which does not have to be your real name), password, a valid e-mail address, and answers to a few brief questions.
As a registered member, you have the option of providing some additional information such as your children's ages and allergies. This optional information is made available to our members to foster a sense of community. If you do not wish to provide this optional information, you may leave the optional fields blank and your registration will still be processed.
Data collected during the registration process are stored in a password-protected database hosted by Groupee Inc. (formerly Infopop Corporation), the company that provides our Web site, Message Board and Chat Room hosting and maintains our online databases.

We require our volunteers and any staff we may hire or persons with whom we may contract to sign an agreement that confirms their commitment to maintain the confidentiality of any personal information to which they have access, and limits their access to and use of any personal information in our possession to that which they need to use in the course of their work for us.
Groupee Inc. uses reasonable safeguards: physical, technical and procedural, to maintain security of data in its databases to the best of its ability. Infopop is contractually prohibited from accessing or using any of the private, personally identifiable information that you submit to Kids With Food Allergies. We want to caution you as a Web site visitor, that any information you disclose in the public areas of these services (message boards, chat rooms and public databases in which you voluntarily participate) can be viewed by anyone who registers and accesses those areas and is not considered to be confidential or privileged.

Groupee's technology uses small text files called cookies to remember your username and email address so you can access members-only sections of the Web site. These cookies collect some non-personal information such as your type of browser, but do not collect, store or maintain any other private personally identifiable information. You can view the cookie information stored by your computer by logging in, going to the "Personal Zone" area of the message boards and selecting "cookies".
The only information matched by Groupee with your email address from a cookie is your Internet service provider (IP) address and the date when you've last visited our forums. When you are visiting our forums, it is possible for forum administrators to determine which users are currently online and which forum each user is currently visiting; otherwise, we will not have any knowledge of what particular pages you have chosen to visit. We may use this information for management purposes, such as to identify duplicate registrations or to deal with registrants who abuse their privileges in using the message boards or chat rooms.
We use aggregate, non-personally-identifiable data derived from cookies to compile statistics such as the number of visitors to our site, the type of browser and operating systems visitors use, what countries visitors are coming from, and what pages and files users visit. We may use this type of information for management and administrative purposes, such as for planning service improvements. This type of report will not contain any personal information and will not identify any users of our Web site, message boards or chat rooms.
When you register on our site, you may choose to refuse our cookie, or you may delete or turn off our cookie from your hard drive at any time although this will create problems for your use of certain parts of our Web site.
7. How you can control the use of your personal information

Our Web site, message boards and chat rooms are limited to individuals of legal age in accordance with our terms of service. We do not provide Web-based services for children at this time, although we do provide services to adults that are for the benefit of their children. We will not intentionally collect any information from a child under age 13 years of age. Should you learn that we have information on a child under age 13, please let us know by emailing us at Webmaster so we can delete it.
9. Groupee registration
Groupee is a universal registration service provided by Groupee Inc. that stores your email address and password. Your email address is shared with us but we do not have access to your password. Further information about Groupee can be found by going here.
10. Thrive membership payment system
We use the Thrive, a secure payment service available through Groupee, Inc., our Web host, for fees associated with membership upgrades. If you choose to upgrade your membership, Thrive will activate your membership upgrade automatically according to your username. We will be notified that your username has paid for an upgraded membership, but your billing and credit card information is not shared with us. We provide links to other sites. These sites have their own privacy policies that will be different and are not controlled or endorsed by Kids With Food Allergies. We encourage you to familiarize yourself with any site's privacy policy before submitting any personal information to it.
