1 med to lg chopped green pepper 1 med chopped onion 2 14 oz jars pizza sauce 1 15 oz can tomato sauce 1.5 lbs stew beef or steak cut into chewable sizes 1 box elbow noodles
Instructions
Saute chopped onion and green pepper with the stew meat until meat is cooked. Pour pizza and tomato sauces into either casserole dish or crock pot. Combine meat and vegetables with sauces. Cook in covered casserole for 1.5 hours in oven at 375F, or in crock pot on low for 4 to 5 hours. The meat is already cooked so you can add time depending on how tender you want it. Serve over cooked elbow noodles.
Comments
This is easy!!!!!!!! I love making this before a family day like to the zoo. I put it in the crock pot and boil up the noodles before hand, and then we have our favorite meal. You get hidden vegetables and great taste. It looks like spaghetti so the picky eaters will go for it too.
Substitutions
The only substitute that you might look for is the noodles. Some may need to use rice noodles instead of regular noodles.
My actual brand of pizza sauce has soybean oil in it, but there might be one with out it. If not, then their are a ton of pizza sauce recipes on allrecipes.com. Have fun and eat all at the same time!
