Imitation Maple Syrup

 Recipe Information
Category: Condiments
Recipe Created By: Sismidngt

 Ingredients
2 cups sugar
1 cup water
2 tsp maple flavoring

 Directions
Heat the sugar/water mixture to a boil. Set aside until lukewarm.

Add the flavoring. Pour into bottles.

 Notes
I re-use bottles off from things like spaghetti sauce..I have even given some of these syrups out to friends as a "treat" for my kids when they visit..they love the decorations on the bottles ;)

It tastes just like the "fake" syrup that you buy in the stores. I have used other flavorings to make syrups for our rice "shakes"...such as strawberry, and lemon to name a few...
