BBQ Sauce

8 oz ketchup, preferrably organic
2 oz white vinegar
1 Tbsp packed brown sugar
1 Tbsp molasses
2 oz raw honey
pinch sea salt
2 Tbsp ground mustard
1 Tbsp red pepper (cayenne)
1 Tbsp garlic powder
1 Tbsp onion powder
1 tsp ground ginger

Whisk together all ingredients in sauce pan until mixed thoroughly while bringing to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes or so.


Select corn free molasses and brown sugar if needed.

 This recipe is free of:
 Milk  Peanut  Egg  Soy  Tree nut
 Gluten  Wheat  Fish  Shellfish  Sesame

HOT!  Maybe they meant 1 tsp. of cayenne pepper vs 1 TBSP?  I like hot but my boys could not eat this.  Next time I'll try 1/8 tsp, or w/o at first, knowing cayenne cooks in hotter.  Thanks for the recipe, this is quite yummy!  PS, I also added pineapple chunks to mine.

Good to know that much cayenne makes it pretty spicy.

Pineapple chunks sound like a great addition!
