KFA Team Update |
|
|
KFA extends a warm welcome to Yael Weinstein, who has joined us as Education Materials Coordinator, and to Michele Cassalia, who has joined us as Development Coordinator.
Yael's background is in early childhood education and Jewish studies. She's been the driving force behind the new free celebrating the holidays with food allergies booklets we will be featuring on our Web site. Yael's son is 18 months old
and has multiple food allergies and eosinophilic disease.
Michele is mom to two children, a daughter, age 8 and a son, age 5. Her 5 year old has food allergies. Michele's professional background is in marketing. She will be working directly with KFA sponsors and advertisers as well as with the
media.
Thank you both for joining our team!
Sincerely,
Lynda Mitchell

A message from our sponsor |

At Gak's Snacks, you can find award-winning organic packaged treats so good the whole family will enjoy them together. Started by the mom of a child with multiple food allergies, our dedicated facility is free of peanuts, tree nuts, eggs,
and dairy. We use no wheat (though there can be traces in oats), no seeds, and the only soy is soy lecithin (in all but our new oatmeal cookies).
While everyone loves eating the treats, you can love that they are full of all the good things, with no cholesterol, trans fat, or artificial anything. Current dietary guidelines recommend that kids eat three daily servings of whole grain.
Gak's Snacks packages proudly bear the Whole Grain Council stamp certifying that with every delicious Gak's Snacks treat, your child is eating at least ? serving of whole grain! Imagine that, from a cookie!
Want to bake your own treats, for snacks, birthdays, parties, or holidays? The new edition of the Gak's Snacks Allergy Cookbook, now called Allergen Free Baking, is full of great tasting, easy to make treats, including some
that are gluten free. With sections for every occasion, you can serve Thanksgiving treats such as cranberry crisps and pumpkin pie that everyone will enjoy together. We also offer our very own carefully selected and allergen tested baking
ingredients for carefree baking. Special for the holidays, use POFAK coupon "PAK" for $4.00 off the cookbook or the "cookbook and starter kit" through 12/10/07.
Gak's Snacks cookies can be found at a growing number of schools and stores ? most recently the bakeries of Hannaford Supermarkets. And of course, you can always find all of our products at
