Creating Better Lives Today!
With your support, KFA is Creating Better Lives Today™ for children with food allergies and anaphylaxis through our Education, Peer Support, Food & Cooking Assistance, and Outreach programs.
Please support one of these upcoming fundraisers
to help us achieve our mission.
- National Recipe Showdown Event
Supporters were invited to host parties for the fundraiser until October 4th.
First: KFA Members created and submitted original recipes for the competition-fundraiser. The theme for this competition was "Grillin' and Chillin'." Challengers were invited to submit a hot grilled recipe and/or a chilled recipe.
Then: KFA supporters hosted house parties to prepare and vote on the recipes and collect donations for KFA. House parties were a fun and successful way to raise awareness about what it's like to live with food allergies while supporting Kids With Food Allergies, a tax-exempt nonprofit charity!
14 Grillin' & Chillin' allergy-friendly recipes were submitted and served at parties across the nation. The winning recipes were:

- October 4th Tampa, FL: Amazinflates
Thanks to Ronnie Rivera of Amazinflates, Sports + Field, and an amazing team of volunteers who hosted a Inflatable Fair Fun Day in Tampa on October 4th and raised $2,200 for KFA!
Thanks also to KFA's sponsors and partners who hosted tables or sent products. The weather was beautiful and there were lots of happy faces. All proceeds will go to provide vital funding for our education and support programs.
- July 19th Palm Desert, CA: Bitty Banquet

We want to extend a sincere "thank you" to KFA volunteer Kristin Johnson for hosting a "Bitty Banquet" Fundraiser on July 19th, 2008, that raised $695 for Kids With Food Allergies. We have so much on our "to do" list waiting for funding; these donations will be put to good use to provide more educational and program support for families raising kids with food allergies.
