FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE -- May 2, 2008 -- Cedar Crest Specialties, Inc. today announced a recall on one lot code of Lezza Blue Raspberry Water Ice in round plastic pint containers with a lot code of 2116 because it may contain undeclared milk protein. The product was distributed to retail outlets in Illinois, Wisconsin, and Minnesota during 2006 and 2007.
The product is being recalled because it may contain milk allergen protein that is not listed in the product’s ingredient statement. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk may experience a potentially serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product.
There is no health risk for consumers who are not allergic to milk.
No other Lezza water ice products are included in this recall.
There is one reported allergic reaction attributed to this product.

People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to shrimp run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products. Our firm has recovered 1,400 of 1,416 units produced, 16 units are in distribution.
Blount New England Clam Chowder was distributed through the following supermarket chains: Shaw's Supermarkets (in Massachusetts and Connecticut), Omni Foods (in Weston, MA), Donelan Market (in Acton and Littleton, MA), and The Cirelli Marketplace store (Middleboro, MA). The product is identified as a 20oz plastic cup with a film seal and plastic lid. The dark blue product label reads: Blount Signature Soups All Natural New England Clam Chowder, Keep Refrigerated. The lot code and sell by date are printed in black ink on the bottom of the cup.
No illnesses have been reported to date. The recall was initiated after it was discovered that product containing shrimp was distributed in packaging that did not reveal the presence of shrimp. Subsequent investigation indicates the problem was caused by an isolated, temporary breakdown in the company's production and packaging processes.

Consumers can find this information on the back of the individual bottle.

The product labeled as Leek and Oriental Noodle Fried Dumpling contains egg which was listed as "Albumen" in the ingredient statement but was not declared on the allergen statement.
Leek and Oriental Noodle Fried Dumplings was distributed in California, Illinois, Texas and Georgia through retail stores.
The product affected is packaged in a white resealable 25.4 oz pouch with the UPC code 801114-306338 and the Code dates 2/2/2009, 2/9/2009 and 3/6/2009.
No illnesses have been reported to date.
The labeling issue was reported to Pulmuone Wildwood, Inc. upon receipt of the product. Investigation indicates that the problem was cause by a breach in communication with the supplier regarding product formulation and packaging information. This labeling error was limited in scope and no other food products were involved.
The Company has been in phone and email contact with 100% of the distributors and stores which received this product.

The product labeled as containing chocolate-covered almonds may contain chocolate double-dipped peanuts and the product labeled as containing chocolate double-dipped peanuts may contain chocolate covered almonds. Products were available at all Cracker Barrel Old Country Store® locations in 41 states. Products were packaged in a clear 5-ounce polybag with a red and white diamond pattern on the label.

The recall was initiated after the issue was reported by Cracker Barrel store management upon receipt of the product. North Aire Market Issues Allergy Alert on Possible Traces of Almonds in Chicken Dumpling Soup Mix

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE -- April 8, 2008 -- North Aire Market of Shakopee, MN is recalling 99 boxes of Chicken Dumpling Soup Mix because they may contain undeclared traces of almonds. The 99 boxes were sold in various parts of the country primarily to specialty gift shops and through the company’s web site under the brand, “Maggie & Mary’s Chicken Dumpling Soup Mix.” The lot codes related to this recall are: 0730810, 0720810, 0910810, 0920811, 0920810, 0930810, 0980810, and are found on the bottom of the retail box.
The dumplings in the soup mix may have may have been exposed to residual traces of almonds which may have been present on machinery used to package an almond containing product earlier. However, no almond traces were found on the machinery, no almond traces were found within any dumpling packages, and there are no reports of illness associated with this recall. This recall is precipitated by an uncertainty as to whether one step in the sanitizing procedure was properly followed to make the machinery ready to package the 99 units.
The Company has been in phone contact with 86 % of the stores which received this product and is making attempts to reach the remaining stores.

People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product.
The product was made by Sanders Candy Factory, Inc., Baldwin Park, CA. It was distributed throughout the United States under the Harry and David brand only in Harry and David stores.
Harry and David is recalling 8 oz. bags of Chocolate Covered Select Blend Espresso Beans with "Best if used by" dates after 8/28/05, sold prior to April 5th, 2008. The "Best if used by" date is located in the lower right hand corner of the nutrition label on the back of the bag. Bags subject to this recall do NOT have a "Contains milk, soy" statement on the nutrition label. These products are packaged in 8 oz. clear plastic bags, tied at the top with a tan ribbon.
There have been no illnesses or injuries reported to date. Anyone concerned about an illness/injury should contact a physician immediately.
This problem, which was discovered on April 3, 2008, occurred because the ingredient statement of the bulk product delivered to Harry and David by the manufacturer did not list milk as an ingredient.

The incorrect label on the back includes ingredient and nutrition information for Chunky Blue Cheese Dressing and does not declare the presence of fish, soy and wheat. Consumers who have allergies to fish, soy and wheat run the risk of a serious or life threating allergic reaction if they consume the mislabeled product.
No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this alert, and there is no risk to consumers who are not allergic to fish, soy and wheat.
The recalled bottles of "America's Choice Classic Caesar Dressing" were distributed through Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company (A&P) stores including A&P, Super Fresh, Food Basics USA, and Waldbaum's in Connecticut, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, New York, and the District of Columbia.
The recalled product, "America's Choice Classic Caesar Dressing" comes in a 16 ounce plastic bottle and is marked with a "best before" date code of 02-09-09 that can be found on the back label. If the ingredient label on the back is for "Chunky Blue Cheese Dressing," consumers may return the product to the store where it was purchased for a full refund.

The recalled products were sold nationwide through health food distributors and natural food retailers.

There have been no reported allergic reactions attributed to this product. The problem was discovered by Williams Foods during a routine label review.

WHITE BEAR LAKE, Minn., March 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Kohler Mix Specialties of Minnesota, LLC announced today that it is voluntarily recalling bulk 464-count cases of 3/8 fluid ounce cups of GFS Ultra-Pasteurized Non-Dairy Creamer with a "Use By" date of 4/08/2008, "Reorder No." 427233 and Universal Product Code (UPC) of 93901427236. The recall was initiated because individual cups in the bulk cases may be labeled Half & Half Creamer and contain Non-Dairy Creamer, which contain a soy-based ingredient. No other code dates or GFS products are involved in this recall.
Some individuals with allergies to soy run the risk of a serious reaction if they consume the mislabeled cups. No allergic reactions have been reported. If you do not have a soy allergy, the product is safe to consume.

The containers are identified with the code 07320 which is printed on the rim of the lid.
People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to peanuts run the risk of developing a life threatening health problem/illness if they consume this batch of Dutch Chocolate. No illnesses have been reported to date.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE -- February 11, 2008 -- Rocky Mountain Popcorn Company, Centennial, CO is voluntarily initiating a nationwide recall of 1,603 bags of Low Fat Caramel 9 oz. Popcorn (in the green bag). This recall is on the Low Fat variety only. An ingredient in this product has been found to contain a trace amount of tree nuts, which potentially could cause an allergic reaction to any person with a tree nut allergy.
Consumers who have tree nut allergies and have purchased Rocky Mountain Popcorn’s Low Fat Caramel 9 oz. Popcorn (in the green bag) which is being recalled should stop using this item and contact Rocky Mountain Popcorn Company for a refund.
The recall includes only one flavor of the company’s ready to eat popcorn and it is Low Fat Caramel 9 oz. Popcorn (in the green bag). UPC #10449 32050 – with a manufacturing code less than D1231xx.
The company has voluntarily recalled the product after learning that the supplier of one of the ingredients in the formulation of Low Fat Caramel 9 oz. Popcorn (in the green bag) had changed its formulation to contain trace amounts of tree nuts. FDA has been apprised of this action.
The company has acquired an ingredient to replace the suspect ingredient that does not contain tree nuts, therefore future manufacturing of this product will not contain tree nuts. Again, only Low Fat Caramel with a manufacturing code less than D1231xx is affected by this recall.
No allergic reactions have been reported. Furthermore, there has been very limited distribution of this item, and it has been mostly in the Denver, CO area. All future sales of this item will be packaged in clearly and correctly labeled bags.
Low Fat Caramel 9 oz. Popcorn (in the green bag) was distributed to Colorado grocery and Convenience stores, only 100 units were distributed outside of the state of Colorado, in Ft. Worth, Texas. The product can be identified by a silver bag with green graphics.
Rocky Mountain Popcorn Company is notifying its distributors and customers by phone, email and letter, and is arranging for refund of this item to customers who have uneaten bags of popcorn, and who suffer from tree nut allergies.
