Until We Have a Cure...

Donate to Kids With Food Allergies Foundation"I desperately want a cure for food allergies. But until we have a cure, all families need to understand how to handle emergencies like the one we had. My teenage daughter made a mistake and her brother ended up with milk in his cereal. She is beginning to understand that we're all human and we can make mistakes. We now know that no matter how careful we are, our knowledge and preparation is what will prevent an emergency. We find ourselves to be very knowledgeable...thanks greatly to KFA."

Can we rely on your help to ensure families have the education to do what needs to be done in an emergency? Until a cure is found, we provide the practical support that gets families through each day.

Any gift you give will save lives. We thank you on behalf of all the families we serve.

Food Allergy Facts

Food Allergy Awareness: Warnings on Food Labels are VOLUNTARY
Did you know? The U.S. Food Allergen Labeling and Consumer Protection Act of 2004 requires food labels (on foods regulated by the FDA) to list which of the eight major food allergens (milk, egg, peanut, tree nuts, soy, wheat, fish, and crustacean shellfish) are present as ingredients in prepared foods.

However, the law does not require or suggest wording for warning labels, such as “may contain trace amounts of nuts” or “may be prepared in a facility that also uses nuts.” The inclusion of these warning labels is voluntary.
