Mission and Objectives

Mission

Kids With Food Allergies is a national nonprofit food allergy support group dedicated to fostering optimal health, nutrition, and well-being of children with food allergies by providing education and a caring support community for their families and caregivers.

Objectives

To provide a variety of programs and services that will allow parents to connect with one another for social and emotional support.

To improve food allergy management strategies through daily interaction on our Web site and sharing personal experience, and to assist families in:

  • Managing their children's food allergies
  • Providing safe, nutritious and creative diets for their children
  • Planning for school and day care
  • Empowering families to improve their child's quality of life

To assist parents of food allergic children who are financially unable to afford the expense of elemental or hypoallergenic formulas, allergen-free foods, emergency medical emblem fees or other essential items for managing food allergies.

To support public health, awareness, advocacy and research initiatives about food allergies and anaphylaxis.
